Cephalopods in general: That is, octopus, squid, and/or cuttlefish. Though very common worldwide, cephalopods can be elusive. The octopus usually emerges from its hiding place at night to hunt for the shellfish that are its usual prey. Though they can be seen in daytime, the octopus is very shy and will normally flee and hide when anything large approaches (including people). On the other hand, cuttlefish normally hunt in the daytime and sleep at night.
