Besieging the Cruise (at Esna Locks, Nile River, Egypt) - DSC8782-Edit.jpg
Nile River, Esna, Egypt -- Vendors and merchants in small boats crowd around cruise ships stopping at Esna, where the ships must wait in turn to pass through the locks at the dam there. Vendors in small boats at Esna throw their goods to passengers aboard ships, who then shout negotiations and either return the goods or throw back the money. The vendors are not permitted aboard the ships, and the ship crews work to prevent any boats from tying up to the ships. © Rick Collier /...
